A Vietnamese Enterprise will invest in rubber plantations in Laos and Cambodia

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint stock Company (HAG) will be the first individual company to control the Vietnam rubber market.
At present, HAG owns an area of 51,000 ha of land to plant rubber and it will extend this area up to 100,000 ha in Laos and Cambodia. Thanks to good technology and The Viet Nam Industrial Rubber Corporation (VRG) has strong influences on many rubber-producing enterprises in the country.
At present, VRG controls an area of 299,000 ha of rubber plantation, occupying 40.4% of the nationwide rubber area. VRG has three big programs, including developing 100,000 ha of rubber plantation in the Central Highlands and central coastal regions and two projects to invest 200,000 ha of rubber plantation in Laos and Cambodia.
